Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deburr Setup Operator to support finishing operations by establishing standardized deburring procedures and assisting Deburr Operators in achieving consistent, high-quality results. This role is responsible for following work instructions, setting up tools and processes, and ensuring completed parts retain structural integrity and meet production standards.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on manufacturing experience, an understanding of surface finishing requirements, and the ability to guide operators in proper deburring techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and standardize deburring procedures based on work instructions and part requirements
Set up tools, fixtures, and finishing equipment for each job
Assist and train Deburr Operators on proper deburring methods and quality expectations
Verify surface finish and part integrity meet production specifications
Inspect initial production pieces to confirm process consistency
Adjust tools or procedures to improve quality and efficiency
Identify defects or process issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Support production schedules while ensuring quality standards are met
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in deburring, finishing, or precision manufacturing
Strong understanding of surface finish requirements and material handling
Ability to read work instructions, basic drawings, and specifications
Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and finishing equipment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead by example and support production team members
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle parts safely
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Experience in aerospace or high-precision machining environments
Basic inspection and quality control experience
Familiarity with standardized work procedures and process improvement
