Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mill Operator to support our machining operations by running CNC and manual milling machines to produce high-quality precision parts. In this role, you will work closely with the Mill Setup Operator to ensure machines are properly tooled, production runs efficiently, and finished components meet strict quality standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on machining experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and/or manual milling machines according to work instructions and production schedules

• Assist the Mill Setup Operator with machine setup, tooling changes, and job changeovers

• Load raw materials and unload finished parts efficiently and safely

• Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed

• Replace tooling and inserts to maintain proper cutting performance

• Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify quality standards

• Identify defects or machine issues and report them promptly

• Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety protocols

• Meet production targets while maintaining precision and quality

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience operating milling machines (CNC preferred)

• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

• Familiarity with basic measuring tools and quality inspection techniques

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as required

• Willingness to work flexible shifts or overtime as needed

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment

• Knowledge of tooling types and machining materials

• Basic understanding of CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or similar)
