Qualifications
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Administrator to join our dynamic team
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure, system administration, and solution architecture
- This role requires a deep understanding of various technologies and methodologies, including service-oriented architecture and systems engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven experience in IT administration with a focus on system architecture and design
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and practices
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and service integration techniques
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD)
- Understanding of NoSQL databases along with traditional SQL databases
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering effective solutions

Responsibilities
- The Senior IT Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our IT systems while supporting the organization’s overall technology strategy
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems
- Manage RAID controllers and ensure optimal performance of storage solutions
- Develop and maintain service-oriented architectures and microservices
- Implement system administration best practices across various operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX
- Collaborate with development teams to design solutions using AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
- Ensure information security measures are in place to protect sensitive data
- Administer databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Utilize scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation and system management tasks
- Implement load balancing strategies to enhance application performance
- Manage network configurations including DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls
- Support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git for version control
- Participate in Agile methodologies to improve project delivery processes
- Provide technical guidance on virtualization technologies such as VMware and Kubernetes
