We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and dependable Model Dental Technician to join a growing Removables / Dentures department within a dental laboratory. In this role, you will play a critical part in building the foundation for high-quality dental restorations by accurately pouring, trimming, duplicating, and articulating dental models used for dentures, nightguards, and removable prosthetic cases.

Key Responsibilities

Model Pouring & Preparation
  • Pour dental impressions and create accurate stone models for removable prosthetic cases
  • Duplicate dental models as needed for laboratory workflows
  • Trim models precisely to ensure accuracy, stability, and proper case preparation
  • Maintain consistency and quality throughout the model fabrication process
Model Articulation & Occlusion
  • Accurately articulate dental models with attention to occlusion, alignment, and stability
  • Ensure models are properly mounted and prepared for denture, nightguard, and removable prosthetic fabrication
  • Verify case accuracy before progressing to additional production stages
Block-Out & Prosthetic Preparation
  • Perform block-out procedures for removable prosthetic cases
  • Prepare models for dentures, nightguards, and other removable appliances
  • Support the removables department by ensuring cases are prepared accurately and efficiently
Quality Control & Accuracy
  • Inspect models for quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Read and follow case instructions carefully to ensure proper production outcomes
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the workflow
Teamwork & Laboratory Support
  • Collaborate with technicians and laboratory staff to meet production timelines and quality expectations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
  • Assist with additional laboratory duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with models in a dental laboratory required
  • Experience pouring, trimming, duplicating, and articulating dental models required
  • Experience with dentures, removables, and nightguards preferred
  • Understanding of occlusion, model articulation, and stability preferred
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English and/or Spanish
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity required
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Schedule & Physical Requirements

  • Full-time opportunity in a dental laboratory environment
  • Must be comfortable sitting for extended periods while performing detailed work
  • Frequent hand movements and fine motor skills required
  • Ability to work with dental tools, materials, and models throughout the day
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-focused laboratory environment
